Mentor A Mate Mentoring Pilot Apprenticeship Support Programme

The objective of the project was to challenge and change current participation trends in work based learning, by engaging existing apprenticeships from under represented groups. The programme helped apprentices within the workplace by providing Peer Mentors who provided the one-2-one customised help with support from LTM. This in turn will improve:

1. Retention

2. Attainment

3. Partnership working with WBL providers and employers

In order to equip each peer mentor with the relevant level of expertise, LTM supported each nominated apprentice to undertake an Edexcel approved and accredited training programme to achieve either a level 1 Certificate in Peer Support and Mentoring alternatively an ASDAN Bespoke Certificate Peer Mentoring.
