Helping communities to help themselves - that's the aim of our community mentoring services. LTM trains committed individuals from the community to become qualified mentors and join our pool of volunteers. We then draw upon this pool of volunteers to offer customised support to fellow members of the community who need a shoulder to cry on or a fresh pair of eyes for a situation. All of our mentoring is conducted with the utmost confidentiality and designed to renew community spirit.

We work firmly on the belief that local community members (supported by a wide partnership of professionals) are in the best position to help their fellow community members. We also actively seek mentors with a wide range of life-experiences and empathy with different groups. With such expertise - and also flexibility - we are able to respond to a wide range of needs and issues, including:

3. drug and substance abuse;
4. community cohesion;
